Reflection #10

In class on Tuesday, Monica brought up how laptops are becoming old and tablets are taking over. Personally, I love my laptop and I cant imagine writing papers on anything else other than a computer with a key board. Don't get me wrong, I think Ipads are awesome but I wonder if tablets will eventually take over and computers will become extinct. In schools, that be totally different to how I grew up. I guess as future teachers we need to adjust to the changes in technology for the better.

  1. I agree...I really love using my laptop. In fact, I perfer it over a tablet. I think tablets take longer to use and may overall cost more since they might not last as long. They are more fragile too if you drop them. Overall, I think laptops are better for the classroom.

  2. I agree with you both! I'd totally rather use my laptop and a real keyboard than touch screen tablet or iPad. As schools get on board with the latest technology, so will we as teachers need to adapt and be flexible with those changes.

  3. I prefer my laptop over a tablet, especially for writing papers and research. I agree with Alyssa that laptops are better for the classroom, but eventually I'm sure schools will start to use tablets, and we will have to use them.

  4. definitely a lap top guy! i choose efficiency over style any day! unless they equip those tablets with portable key boards, i will not buy into the hype!
